What $149 actually buys
This is the whole thing. Nothing held back.
Below is a complete Deal Review, exactly as it arrives — the line-by-line markup, the target number and how we got there, the message to send, and the checklist for signing day.
Matches the published destination charge for this model. No action.
This is a store-set number, not a factory one. Typical for a crated side-by-side is $300–500. There is roughly $400 of room here.
On the high side but within range for this market. Don't spend your leverage here — spend it on setup and the service contract.
Pre-installed accessory package. You said you wanted a roof and windshield, so most of this is fine — but the mirror kit at $240 is a $60 part with $180 of labor attached.
Highest-margin line on the deal. You can decline it today and buy the same coverage from the same dealer any time before the factory warranty expires, usually cheaper.
Decline. On a machine you described as trail-and-property use, this rarely pays for itself.
6% on the machine and the dealer charges. Note that the service contract and tire coverage aren't in the taxable base — which matters below.
State title and registration on an ORV in this state runs well under $200. Ask what the other portion is.
The machine is right for what you described and the price on the unit itself is fair for this market. The problem is everything stacked underneath it. Two lines are optional products you never asked for, one is a store-set fee with real room in it, one accessory is mostly labor, and one government line has something extra baked into it.
This is a good deal wearing a bad coat. Fix five lines and sign it.

Hi Sam — thanks for putting the numbers together on the Trailmaster 1000. I'd like to move forward, but I need the out-the-door to work at $30,654. Here's where I'm at: - Please take the tire & wheel product and the service contract off. I may come back for coverage later, but not today. - Setup at $899 is higher than I expected on this unit. I'd like that at $499. - Can you break out what portion of the $412 title line goes to the state? Everything else looks fine to me — the freight is what it is, and I'm not going to argue the doc fee. If you can get to $30,654 out the door with those changes, I'm ready to sign this week.
Before you sign
- VIN on the buyer's order matches the VIN on the machine you looked at
- Accessory list on the final paperwork matches what is physically installed
- Service contract and tire coverage show as declined, not zero-dollar
- Amount financed matches the out-the-door number minus your down payment
- APR and term on the contract match what you were quoted verbally
- No dealer-added products reappear on the final signature copy
That’s the product. Want one for your deal?
One business day. Two hours if you’re signing today.
